i was wondering why people stopped asking me to write them. issit cos im not a nice friend to people anymore? and i suddenly remembered there was something known as the "autograph book".

im sure everyone whos reading my blog either have one or have written one before. i'd always try my best to decorate it as nicely as possible. because pathetically, i dont have nice colour pens (which was the trend during that time), i have to try my best to use the normal green pen (for corrections) and the red pen (for self-marking when the teachers wanted us to, or when they just felt plain lazy) to mix and match to write autographs... girls would decorate to the best of our ability to outshine the others, or plagarise styles, while guys will do their usual A.P-ing and write a slip-shod autograph.

we'll write our bios, which included our names, fave colour, hobbies, sometimes blood type, and most importantly, D.O.Bs, where i'll indicate "*hint hint*". at the end of the bios there'll be the poem section:

Roses are red
Violets are blue
Sugar is sweet
But not as sweet as you!

or: (something that i ALWAYS write)

Maths
Makes
Me
Mad

i feel kinda ashamed of myself for being so silly. but then again... its just a phase that we all have to go through, er... right?

what happened to them?

well, we've got friendster now... you type in a bio, add a photo and click save, and presto! thats autograph book for you. whats even better is pple can add testimonials, which are like, an additional feature to the computerised autograph books. its cool... but its also highly uninteractive... finding a photo that you look best in, psychos you never know exist seeing your photo and hitting on you, etc.

writing by hand is a beautiful thing. when i read other pple's autographs, i can see that someone left you a part of them, a part of their creativity, a part of their effort.

what a big change... but i'd like to write an autograph book still... it is nice... was, i mean.
